Second Thoughts

Many of the artist’s earlier works incorporate forms related to the human body. Likewise, when this abstract sculpture is viewed from different angles, it appears to depict various profiles of a human head. These forms seem to dissolve and merge into the surrounding bulges and layers. Titled Second Thoughts, the sculpture addresses how human thought and perception are not always straightforward and clear, but instead often require a second look, further consideration, or even remain loosely understood. Although it is a stable, firmly balanced bronze sculpture, the irregular twisted shapes appear to be the product of a rotational movement. In this way, the work serves as a dynamic counterpoint to the strictly geometric bank building in terms of form and content.
