The Lengerich Garden Project

Before designing the Paradise Garden in Lengerich, the artist held a several week workshop in which he first intensively considered notions of paradise and garden design alongside Lengerich residents, as well as a group of patients from the psychiatric clinic at the former protestant hospital.

The garden that emerged from this process is a combination of individual designs that incorporate the participants’ own visions of paradise.

The result is a natural, but symmetrically designed garden with seasonally changing plants, scents, and atmospheres, bubbling water, benches, and a panoramic view of the Münsterland.

Nestled in the hills of the Teutoburg Forest, it is a tranquil and secluded place where visitors can relax, let their minds wander, and enjoy nature.
