Vogeltränke / Bird Bath
This work is a relief depicting the formation process of successive enlargements of a curve at the corners of a 120 x 120-centimeter square field. This sculptural process, which changes only the perimeter, is contrasted by the frontal attack of a spherical hollowed out section on the surface. Erwin Heerich also invented a font made up of straight lines and circular segments (quarter and semicircular arches), which he left to the collection for use in the design of its information boards.
