Two artistic works were created at the substation on M\u00f6hnepforte: a facade design by Berlin artist Nicolai Angelov and a sound installation by Viennese artist Heribert Friedl. Through these interventions, the centrally located public garden was turned into a meeting place that reflects the surrounding architecture and nature.<\/p>\n
In his facade design, Nicolai Angelov draws from the neighboring timbered house. Its black beams and white sections can also be seen as dark lines on a while background. Along the exterior of the substation, Angelov incorporated green diagonal lines that cross a continuous central line. The composition is defined by symmetry and tension-filled geometric design, drawing new, continuously changing constellations when seen through differing perspectives while circling the building. In this way, the image composition creates a relationship to its surroundings, as well as the function of the substation and its electrical voltage.<\/p>\n
