They are reminiscent of colored lit showcases, particularly because they are located on a busy shopping street. The white, green, blue, and yellow light shines far out onto both streets of the intersection, while the metal geometric frame forms the shape of a gate. However, it doesn&#8217;t close, but instead visually opens up the city space. With this work, G\u00fcnter Dohr translates the idea of traditional city gates into his geometric-constructivist work of light
